Flower arrangements in boxes, baskets, and other floral containers do not need to be taken apart. The flowers are arranged in floral foam, which holds moisture and provides water to the stems.
How to care for a flower arrangement:
- Do not take the arrangement apart yourself. The exception is when a florist has intentionally left additional rose or flower stem height at the customer's request.
- Check the condition of the floral foam every day.
- Add approximately one glass of cool, clean water per day, depending on the size of the arrangement and the condition of the foam.
- Pour the water directly onto the floral foam rather than over the flower heads.
- Keep the arrangement in a cool location, away from direct sunlight and air conditioning airflow.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Important: Floral foam should remain moist but should not be permanently flooded with water. It is also best not to let it dry out completely — once fully dry, floral foam does not absorb water as well again.
