Daisies — How to Care for Daisies in a Vase
Delicate daisies do well in a cool location with clean water. Their stems do not tolerate staying in dirty water for long periods, so changing the water regularly makes a noticeable difference.
How to care for daisies:
- Fill a clean vase with cool, clean water so that about 50% of the stem is in the water.
- Add Chrysal according to the instructions.
- Remove any leaves that will be underwater.
- Trim the stems with a sharp knife or garden shears at approximately a 45° angle.
- Keep the bouquet away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
- Monitor the water level and do not allow the stems to dry out completely.
- If the water becomes cloudy, replace it, clean the vase, and refresh the stem cuts.
Tip: Daisies have soft, leafy stems, so the water can become cloudy faster than with other flowers. Refreshing it every couple of days is usually enough to keep the bouquet looking bright.
